Fri 10/14

Yay, the rain had stopped. Dick reported huge thunder and lightening through the night (which I slept through!). We packed up and left our cute apartment mid morning.

Bed not made...we WERE leaving after all.

It was dry, warm and humid in the morning for our trip across Tuscany to a town called Anghiari near Arezzo near the eastern border of Tuscany. We did a leisurely packing up and left late morning for the drive which took a bit over two hours.
We reached Anghiari about 1:30 and stopped for lunch at a local pizza place. The pizza had a cracker thin crust, nice fresh toppings and was tasty. Bathroom had maybe the most entertaining bathroom sign I have seen.
Translation: wash your hands after using the bathroom otherwise this (first picture) becomes this (second picture.)

After lunch we checked into our agriturismo. It's very nice, seems like it will be quite comfortable and they have an adorable 2 month old puppy along with another dog to give us our pet fix.

We unloaded the car, put a few things away and headed for the grocery store to re stock. We noticed a funny noise coming from the car and decided it was gravel in a tire from the gravel driveway. Once we arrived at the grocery, we found the source of the noise….it was the cord of the GPS which I had on my lap with the cord closed in the door and the connector end dragging. HMMMM……not good. We now had no way to charge the GPS. There was an electronics store across from the grocery but no luck there. They referred us to another store which we decided to try to find the next day, came home with our groceries, and settled in like the old folks we are.
